Default valve stays open

probably an easy one but I have one exhaust valve sticking open and wonder what the quickest/easiest way is of getting it moving again without taking the head off.

thanks, Bas

You might be able to give it a 'nudge' thru the spark plug hole.. If that doesn't seem to work then the valve cover can be removed easily. Turn the crank to allow room for the valve stem, squirt some oil on the stem and then just a little persuasion and the guide should let go of the valve stem..

when I had that problem with mine .
I hand cranked the engine till both valves were up.
shot lots of penetrating oil in . Let it set for several days during witch i shot more in . Then i went in through the spark plug hole with a bent cheap screw
driver and pushed the valve down. Then hand cranked the engine over till that valve came up. then shot more oil in and repeated this several times till it went up and down on its own. Worked for me and hope it works for you!!!

Yes, you can get at all the valves with the manifolds on. Be careful when you "push" the valve down, the newer stainless valves do bend easily.
