Default 1928 Brake Question

Did the very early 1928 Fords come from the factory WITHOUT front brakes? My father said he remembers adjusting the rear brakes on his 1928 sedan, but never doing anything to the front. He wanted me to throw this question out to you folks. Since 1928 was the first year for the A's, maybe Ford used some of the T parts on the early 28 cars. Could this be possible?
Thanks,
Mike

The early 28's didn't have a seperate parking brake lining, but all Model A's had 4 wheel brakes.

Memory fades with age, and the first model A was 1927.

Well the model A talked about here at least, the first model A was really 1903.

I guess that one only had rear wheel brakes.

The early cars also did not have adjustable brake rods.

I'd have to do some checking to be certain, but as I recall the non adjustable rods came out when the seperate parking brake was introduced about May 1928, then the adjustable rods came back when the one piece brake cross shaft was introduced in November 1928. I had a hard tie finding the correct non adjustable rods for my 1928, but finally found them at Bert's when I stopped there about 8 years ago.

Eh, win some lose some. At least I'm sure they had front brakes.
