Default Information needed on the 160-C Slant Window Fordor Sedans

The 160-C Slant Window Fordor Sedan made its appearance about April 1931.

The indented firewall was introduced about May 1931.

With that in mind, there must have been 160-C's with flat firewalls?

The Briggs bodies had a Body Tag of "139-XXXX".

The Murray bodies had a Body Tag of "160-C XXXX"

So the question is...were there specific Body Tags designated for the flat firewall bodies and specific Body Tags for the indented firewall bodies OR not?

I also have a mysterious Body Tag for the 160-C...and that is "153-XXXX"...Does any one have any information on that?

All this pertains to my article about the Evolution of the 2-Window Fordor body styles.

Thank you.

Pluck

Steve- I have seen numerous flat firewall slant windows with body tags. I have never seen an indented firewall slant window with a body tag. I have seen a few indented firewalls that were re-stamps that had the holes for a body tag but no tag. One of them was an unrestored body.

Hi Steve: I have many pictures of my 160 - C unrestored that I owned in the 1980's. It was a flat firewall. Send me a pm with your email and I can send as many pictures you want. Gary in MN
