Your picture has better depth of field than my more expensive Rigid scope.
And my Rigid scope is bulkier and less flexible.

I soldered wires to a small, push in bulb, to look down into cylinders, etc.

I did the same thing back in the 70's when I worked at the GM dealership. Actually I twisted the wires together and wrapped them in tape because solder wouldn't stick to the wire bulb leads.
I had the check the Vega aluminum cylinder walls for scoring. What was GM thinking?

Tom,
If you need a BIGGER/BRIGHTER bulb, use a tail light bulb, & solder the terminals together.
I have jumpers, with a circuit breaker, one with an old door buzzer & 2 jumpers, as long as a Model A. IF you're hard of hearing, use a buzzer from an old smoke alarm!

This is what I have. It plugs into any laptop or notebook or whatever those things are that you can hold in your hand. Less than a half inch in diameter and waterproof. I have used it for checking rust in a gas tank, cylinder condition, location of bolts in places you have to reach with a wrench but can't see it, fishing an errant toothbrush out of the toilet.....
It is less than $5 delivered from China but it really is priceless when you need it.
