Default Engine numbers ?

Could someone tell me what model my eng is. It has been modified, but here are the numbers *1865789*

Ummmm, are you sure about that Bob? Engine blocks were typically cast at the foundry and painted, then allowed to season for a short period. Once seasoned, they were machined, assembled, and tested on a DC powered dynamo.

Then once testing was complete, a sequential number was assigned & stamped followed by the number range being listed in the Foreman's log. To my knowledge, there was not any recording of dates when an engine block was actually cast however you may know of something I do not.
