Reminds me of an old bicycle site I'm on called the CABE. I restore old bikes and they had a thread called the Break Room. Unfortunately folks got into politics on it and it became quite personal and testy. They have since eliminated the thread and restored civility to the web site. I'm at a loss as to why discussing our passions could result in the same problem we had on the CABE? Being a jerk is not cool no matter what the subject is. Seems like manner these days is in short supply.......

Hey Ryan, and the members of the Barn - you all do a great Service to us, especially newbies to the Barn forum like myself. I just checked out HAMB reseaching something out, and could not believe it. 75 % of replies are attacking others, and mostly have nothing to do with, or very little to do with the original Poster's questions.

Your patience is really appreciated, having answered some questions many, many times in the past, while us newbies learn how to search the Barn.

So Thanks.

If you've never posted crossly on this forum, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. That's a promise.
No offence taken here...Been on forum one day..lol

This morning I was unable to copy from word file and paste.
This enables me to prepare a story in advance and to me that is important.
What / why has something changed?

Ryan, THANKS for your good work. I am reminded of what my Mother taught me. "If you can't say something nice, say nothing at all"...

Totally agree...an elder in my family said that in a different way, but your explanation is better suited here. Lol

This forum is the most helpful and civil one I have seen on the internet. I am on Facebook often, and see people attacked daily even for seemingly innocuous comments. I really appreciate good give and take without profanity! I may be a preacher's kid and grandson of a preacher, but I find most of today's discourse online and in the news to be uncouth! Thanks for Fordbarn!

That person was given his dismissal notifications early today... What's more, another was simply prohibited too... With any karma, this break down won't take me long.

Ryan, YOU continue to do a 'great' job! It is not forgotten that YOU administer this wonderful site as a favor and courtesy extended to the rest of us – taking the time from your personal affairs too do so. It is the efforts by people like YOU that move us back toward the ‘Kinder and Gentler’ nation that we have been and have been called to be. THANK YOU RYAN!

I got roasted on the old site in 2015 when I asked about a problem I was having with the F1 l had been driving a month or two.
I still have not solved the problem or even improved on it after 20,000 miles but I found out that I was a poor driver and that Fords were poor cars and that I was/am kinda stupid.
I also figured out that some were posting answers without reading the post they were answering.
So I didn’t post again untill this month.
I don’t even remember my user name.

Ryan,
I have had my A for 20 years. I have been on this forum for 10 years. I so appreciate most of the folks on Fordbarn. Many times some one answered my questions and helped me solve a problem. I have offered information to questions asked and hoped the answer helped them. It is really simple. Help when you can, learn when you can, and do not ever mount the high horse.

Thanks for all you do.
