Default Whitch one do I use ??

I have a roll of after market frame welting that is 2 inches wide and made of nylon. and I have a roll of belting that is 1.5 inches wide Made of reinforced rubber! Both are about the same thickness.
Which would be better to use?

this is the proper size and material available which mimics what was originally used closer than rubber or a wider width nylon. and it costs 16.50 to do the whole frame

Your nylon belting might be of interest to someone rebuilding Gabrial or Watson snubbers.

I use what mitch posted on the 30 AA I did years ago. I found you should cut the roll in half and tape each half to the frame rails, then let it set for a day or two to normalize, then mark and punch the holes. I unrolled the welt and taped and punched the holes in an hour, but when I went to bolt parts on a couple days later I found the stuff had to be pulled hard to get the holes lined up again. It shrunk a bit.
