Default Reassembly ?

First time inside my 8BA, thought I made good notes for reassy. Putting intake / gas pump back on & neglected to see whether oil ring end of pump rod goes up to pump or down into engine? Ware indicates up I think up but thought I’d check.

If you are talking about the hollow fuel pump push rod, try to balance it in the center on your finger. The heavy end goes down.

Thx 51 MERC-CT, good tip & easy to remember. Heavy wants to go down. If anyone’s interested that means the o-ring side is lighter & goes up.
