Default rod bearings

what are the advantages/disadvantages of bronze rod and main bearings using bronze vs Babbitt??

Bronze doesnt have much embedability to absorb dirt, it becomes 1/2 embedded and becomes a lap, but wen it gets alittle much clearance it doesn't pound out as easy as babbitt ----coat the bronze with a layer of babbitt, then you get a first generation insert
sometime the iron saddles in the block were brazed so a better bond to iron instead of just a mechanical bond---then babbitted
