Stewart klaxon horn gaskets
Hello again - I'm overhauling my Stewart klaxon horn and I can't find those replacement gaskets that rest on either side of the metal diafram. Isn't there a "gasket-in-a-tube" product to lay a bead where the old gasket used to be and dries into an acceptable cork-like gasket?

Re: Stewart klaxon horn gaskets
Measure the diameter across & check with Snyder's - they have gaskets for Model A horns.

Re: Stewart klaxon horn gaskets
Thanks fellas -
When I put "Stewart klaxon horn gaskets" in Snyder's search engine, nothing comes up. But I tried it again with just "horn gaskets" and there we are under Model A. I talked to a tech and those Model A gaskets are a little too big for this horn. So I think I'll get a tube of silicone gasket maker from Autozone and see what happens. |

Re: Stewart klaxon horn gaskets
Make your own. They are just a paper gasket. You can check the thickness of what you have to get started. Don't think silicon will work, the paper gaskets insulate the diaphragm from the body of the horn. You want the diaphragm to vibrate not the horn body. Your Captain Crunch box might be a little too thick, so something a little thinner.
