Default Car I.D help

I know it’s not a Ford, but can anyone tell what this is by the photo?
Thank you!
It’s my sisters husbands Dad.

I did some poking around on the internet and I believe this is a 1931 Chevrolet. Note the similarities in belt lines, wire wheels and hubcaps, sunvisor, 3 door hinge locations, hood vent height above bottom of hood and running board shape. Missing in your photo but present in the attached photo is the rear hood latch. I could be wrong but this checks many boxes. Others may chime in with vasts amount of knowledge. You could try your own search. I found this pic from trial and error by simply typing 1931 Chevrolet and Google gives many to view.

I was thinking Chevy too, but I think the hub caps are too big. And, it looks like they may be real wire wheels, I think I see spoke nipples. Not Chevy...My guess

Is that a parking lamp on top of the fender?

1931 Pontiac

I took another look at '31 GM cars. Buick isn't similar but there are a few Oldsmobiles that are. So far the closest I can find is the Chev in post #3. I wonder when this photo was taken? It is possible things were added/subtracted from the car over time, but to me the hinge locations, belt line and hood louvers would be consistent.

When looking at the hood side louvers in the original picture, just to the right of the guy's "JUNK", you'll see that there is no hood latch on the black car. There is a hood latch on the Chevy. Visor appears too big on Pontiac 4-door. Spokes appear to be wooden, 3rd picture. DD

There's a lot of pics on the internet if you type in 1931 Pontiac should you pursue it.
