I’ve done everything I know to get the motor to start. I have spark at the plug, the timing is correct and have gas to the cylinder and it won’t pop? I’ve done all the suggestions from the members here and I’m in the same spot. It must be something simple I’m over looking. I’ve changed the cap, body , and rotor plugs and Head gasket, drained and added new fuel. Again I’ve checked that the piston is at tdc when I put the timing pin in, I have the Nu-wrench and it pointed at #4 in the distributor the plugs are sparking and I have new gas at the plug. After a week I give up???

You are about an hour away from me, I am in North Andover, MA. Happy to take a ride your way and see if I could help.

I could come your way after the Winter Blah's Swap Meet tomorrow, 3/27. If that doesn't work for you it will be a couple of weeks.

PM me

Jon

Spark at the plugs doesn't mean that the plug is "firing" when under compression.
I'd suggest that you replace the spark plugs w/new ones.

David stopped by and reset the point at .15 and got it started. Also resodered the wire on the bottom plate as it would start and not restart after. Also Cleaned the ground cable. Is starting hard but running good maybe a carb rebuild. Thanks again for all your help.
