knob on choke cable
I have a bad choke cable on my 1950 Ford. I can't get the old knob off. I tried screwing it off and pulling it straight off but nothing gives. What am I doing wrong? Can one of you advise me?

Re: knob on choke cable
I have used a small propane torch to heat the metal shaft just enough to soften the plastic such that the knob will pull off.

Re: knob on choke cable
If you want to save the knob for reuse, do what Meric42 has advised.
If you're replacing the knob, cut it off.
