It's amazing these keep showing up. I'm skeptical about the claims on this one, but it still seems to be a nice close to original car.

Price seems a tad high for starters (?), but it's the sort of car I would chase, if I had mad-money.

The oval speedometer wasn't used all of 30. It was switched to the round speedo at some point.

Yep, just like my Roadster! The instrument panel was changed in mid-late June 1930, concurrent with the introduction of the new commercial bodies. The new fenders, running boards, and aprons were introduced in late September. It's true that we see far fewer of those cars built in that window period for some reason.

What a nice Tudor ! I can remember when cars like that were common. That's what got restored, back in the "last century".
It looks like the paint got the GIBBS OIL treatment. Even the rust looks good.

a real nice , solid, straight car.

But i have some questions and observations
Wouldnt the dash have been pinstriped ?
The seats look real nice , but the headliner was so bad it was taken out ? seems like it would be the other way around.
speaking of the top, the 'underlayment' on top of the chicken wire is pleated like every 4"-6" this is original ?
The window weatherstrip looks pretty good, but the rubber on the steering column mount is totally deteriorated.

im trying not to knock a nice car, but some things lead me to question its "original unrestored condition"

I would think the car has far more than 43,000+ miles.Even back in the 50,s there were many A,s in which the speedo had turned over 2 or more times. You would think it wouldnt have needed a cheap aftermarket ign swich assy if it was low mileage. Std models didnt have the pinstriped gas tank in 30-31.

That was a neat original Tudor.
Im amazed people think materials would remain in good condition just because it is a low mileage car. Unfortunately all things deteriorate with age. The 'popout'ignition housing often breaks with age & headlining materials ,, upholstery & rubber rot well before 80 plus years.
A late '30 dash panel car could have either one or 2 piece splash shields.

standard Tudor had no stripe on gas tank.

we had an unrestored 31 Tudor. the headliner came loose from the bows even though the fabric was still solid- maybe that happened to this one.

not sure what's the deal on the pleats in the roof tatting. the only original roof I've removed was our Coupe.

if a bit of rotten window weatherstrip was replaced, I will still consider the car unrestored- we are preparing to replace part of the windlace around the doors of our MARC of Originality Coupe. gotta do it so it will be halfway comfortable to drive in winter. j.m.h.o.
