Default 1936 vs 1937-38 Steering wheel

I need more knee room in my 36 PU. I walked past a 37 coupe at a car show last weekend and noticed it had a 3 spoke wheel similar to the 36 wheel except that it had more dish to it, the rim was higher than the center.

1 - Can I bolt this directly into the 36 and use the same light control etc?

2 - How much deeper is this wheel than the 36 wheel? (this is not the banjo wheel) I don't have any nearby to measure. I'm 6'4" and need at least 2" more room to operate the pedals properly. I've been considering lengthening the column until I saw this wheel.

1937-39 s/wheels are a little deeper, not much , but just enough to give you a little more freedom.
