I have a NOS 1936 Ford service model water pump that can be used on either side of the engine. It has the grease correct 36 style grease fitting on one side and a brass slotted screw-in plug on the other to close up the open hole. I NEED ONE OF THE SLOTTED SCREW IN PLUGS. I can get one with a hex head or square head at the hardware store, but I'd like to stay original. CAN YOU HELP? Thanks. Old Man Cox. LOL

On a model A the same screw is used to close off the oil pressure port ---if you can't find one Brattons or other model A places should have it, or take pipe plug and cut off and make slot

A little grinding and a slot you could do in your garage.

Only one plug is required since the lube fitting fits into the second hole.

I believe the Ford water pump with the lubrication hole on both sided of the pump is a Service Replacement pump and not an assembly line pump. More of NORS made by Ford. Don Rogers posted a Ford print of the Service Replacement pump which has the same Ford part number with a suffix letter of D.

Yeah, Thanks Terry. Don cleared that up for me. I'll check again on the part number. I don't think it has a suffix. If it does, that's not the only thing I screwed up on today. LOL

the part # 353052-s , I got from 28-37 parts book, same as model A oil passage plug

Its on its way . I couldn’t see just that one piece in the box so I took an unusual one that was on a spare 36-37 motor .

Yeah. they arrived today. The one slotted one is what I was looking for. The other is a covered grease fitting, but I already had the correct 36 grease fitting, just no plug. I'll put the grease fitting on a 34 pump body I have.

Again, thanks a bunch for your help. What do I owe you?
