Default 1917 Model T Title

My buddy has the original title for his Dad's second car. It was a 1917 Model T Ford. He asked me if there was a way to trace and see if the vehicle was still around. Any help with this would be appreciated! I believe it is a Michigan title.

I would go to your town/city hall were you register vehicles and give them the same scenario and they might be able to help.

Keep us posted and hopefully it has survived all these years under the safety of someones garage.

I'm a retired NJ Trooper. It can be done by VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) through the National Crime Information Center(NCIC). Surely any VIN can be run automatically through all 50 states for registration...however, this generally needs to be a Law Enforcement need. Of course this isn't to say that a Private Investigator can't run the VIN nor this isn't saying a local police officer may just have a need to run that VIN!
