Default Time to choose a sump (pan) choices?

Well it's time to choose a sump. Being that I have a pilot engine and I want to keep using a standard starter and flywheel i need to change sump not only that I will be using a later oil pump.
So what I have is a 37 one which I think I'll need to cut out the baffle.
Or I have a truck sump. I see advantages maybe with the truck one..
Thoughts anything to be aware of?
Anyone have any tips on knocking up a baffle.

Use the 37 one; knock out the baffle with a chisel; it has to go anyway to clear the 8BA style pump and pick up you've opted to use.

And..sell the [desirable to some], rare, oilpan with removable clutch cover and clean out panel to recoup some of your rebuild cost. Why? cause you're running a 9" clutch, consequently you don't need to remove oilpan to R&R clutch. Also, in my experience, that big clean out is just another potential oil leak.
With the 37 oilpan, put a cover over the bendix; a baked bean can will do.

Point taken.. I can't sell it 'cos it's only mine if I use it otherwise it goes back to the guy I got it from.
