I currently have an 8 leaf tapered rear spring for a touring car or any 1911 car other than a torpedo/ runabout. But I am building a Torpedo which requires 7 tapered leafs rear springs. So I was wondering if I could just remove the top spring from the 8 leaf, to make it correct for a Torpedo?
