New versus rebuilt.
Finally got around to taking off the pressure plate.
Snyders offers a core exchange, rebuilt one. They also offer a new one, which is less total cost than the rebuilt, and no core is needed, which saves the core shipping cost to them. Has anyone bought the new one? Is there an appreciable difference? I am not looking for the cheapest here, just stating the conditions. Larry |

Re: New versus rebuilt.
In my opinion, you would be better off having youre core rebuilt. New ones from china I wouldn't trust. Just my 2cents.

I would agree with Dave, have the core rebuilt.

Re: New versus rebuilt.
I bought a rebuilt for the same reasons Dave mentioned...
I got it from Bert's...they will send the rebuilt first and you can send the core later.... It still needed to have the fingers adjusted once installed but I suppose that goes for new also...

Re: New versus rebuilt.
Thanks guys..
It's going to be quite interesting tomorrow. I emailed Tom Jordan from Snyders and asked him the same thing. I'll bet he agrees. Will let the Gang know.. Larry |

Re: New versus rebuilt.
The last pressure plate I installed came from Little Dearborn in MPLS. It was a nicely painted rebuilt, and the fingers were easy to adjust since they used lock nuts.

Re: New versus rebuilt.
Tom Jordan from Snyders says go with the rebuilt. The new one is made across the pond.
Tom likes the ease of adjustment on the rebuilts compared to the Chinese ones.. Thanks Gang. Rebuilt it is! Larry |

Re: New versus rebuilt.
If you need a core I have about 20 of them including 4 or 5 of the 9 3/4" AA pressure plates. Rod

Re: New versus rebuilt.
Thanks for the offer. I do have a nice one, but I don't want to mess with it, so it will go to Snyders tomorrow.
