Our 1st Parade........
Sarah and I will be participating in a parade today....our fist. It should go well, very cool, high of 74 by 3pm, parade will be over before then too. Clear and it's only about a mile long. With a new Berg radiator and leakless water pump, she's been running very cool so I foresee no overheating problem.

Re: Our 1st Parade........
The last parade I was in was a victory parade when we returned from the Great War and I was marching then. Old age finally caught up with me and now I have to ride in a Model A Ford Coupe Deluxe....DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy lots of candy to throw to the kids and let them know it has an Aoogha horn! Just being in the parade will make lots of the old folks happy ! Good luck and enjoy. Wayne

Re: Our 1st Parade........
Our FINEST parade was on a winding course in a mobile home park, where retired folks lived. It was SLOW & folks stood right alongside us & we could chat. The route was long & winding & we repeated it 3 times!!! One FOXY old lady said, "Me & Clint ran away to get married in a car JUST like yours & it was also BLACK with RED wheels"!
Folks that couldn't come out were propped up to watch us, out the windows. I will NEVER forget that parade. Bill W.

Re: Our 1st Parade........
I had fun, great fun. Sarah did great, no overheating at all. 160.5 top and 150. bottom thermal gauged at any temp taken. Outside temp was 76, one mile that took 50 minutes. Clutch got a workout though.
Sarah was the second oldest in the parade, she was beat out by a 1915 Model T delivery truck, didn't get a photo though. Nut and bolt restoration. In third place was a 1936 Model A John Deere tractor, actually there was two of them. Dug out of my trunk my old golfing clothes, hadn't worn them since I played Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen at the Augusta Open back in 1930.

Re: Our 1st Parade........
Did a do-dah parade in Volcano, CA a few years back. The parade spread out through the whole town, both streets, so we circled around and did it again. There was wan unrestored EE truck with over a million miles on it, or so it was claimed, original survivor. Only car to have a problem was a modern parked with lights on or something. Dead battery and took AAA about an hour to find the place,

Glad you had a good day for the parade . Car looks great and seems to be running well. Winter work ahead but until then drive her every day! She's good therapy and can always use the exercise . Take is easy my friend... Larry Shepard |
