Default Macs - how come

Lots of complaints about Macs. No matter which supplier is searched the first return that comes up is Macs with a 4 1/2 star rating. How does this happen when there is so much displeasure?

Probably because Macs pays Google to be at the top of the ads.

We used Mac’s for almost 40 years before they were sold. Never had a problem, and if there were an item that we did not like, there was no problem with return.

I have placed a number of small orders with the new Mac’s over the last two years without any issues. One item ordered was defective, they paid the freight back and credited me.

I would still use them as a supplier. Enjoy.

I have used most of the Vendors and we are so lucky to have so many choices!
All have good and bad days but don't we all? All in all they ALL have many more good days!

Just imagine your frustration if you had a Dodge or Chevy of the same vintage and try to get parts!

Remember MAC's is HUGE. With the amount of complaints also comes a lot of thumbs up. There are Ten separate catalogs for Ford Products. You just only hear of the complaints. How many threads have you read on Ford Barn about bad things as opposed to good things?

All that said, i usually go with Snyder's... But have bought from MAC's with no problems. The times I have ordered from MAC's is when the other Vendors either don't have or don't carry a particular item.

The other suppliers, Berts, Brattons, Snyders have Model A people answering the phones. If you need help or advise they can help. I don't think the same can be said of Macs.

Is this the 27th or the 28th thread on MAC's?

That's for sure! I've owned non-Fords - GM (Chev, at least) parts availability isn't as good as Ford but better than MoPar. At least some Ford parts are the same as Chrysler Corp, or are close enough to work.

Well, I own an original 1929 Chevrolet 2-dr coach besides my 2 "A's".
No there is not very many vendors for "A" era Chevy parts. But, like the
Chevy guys say: "We don't need the parts"

I live in Maine and use TAM'S for all my Model A parts because they are in Massachusetts AND either Joe or Joanne answers the phone ( owner & daughter ) Freight/postage is less expensive, they know Model A parts and are always interested in getting me what I want.

I've noticed a lot of people selling Mac's reproduction parts in the Swap Meet section and on Craig's List, some of it still in the packaging. Same story, "sold my A and no longer need these parts."

Makes me wonder if the sellers were just not satisfied with the quality of the parts.
