Hubby tried to help with housework
Read the 'story' below before clicking on the link ...
My hubby is retired and sits around the house all day. I told him, "You could do something useful, like vacuum the house once a week." He gives it a moment's thought and says, "Sure, why not. Show me to the vacuum." Half an hour later, he comes into the kitchen to get some coffee. I said, "I didn't hear the vacuum running. I thought you were using it?" ... Exasperated he answers, "The stupid thing is broken, won't start. Got to buy a new one." "Really", I said, "Show me - it worked fine the last time." So he did ... now click this link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdmXLhN5i28 |

I would buy a new one, even the Model A had an electric start.

Re: Hubby tried to help with housework
Reminds me of a friend... His wife told him they needed a new vacuum. He went over to the Depot and bought her a new RIDGID 16 gal. Wet/Dry Shop Vac.

Re: Hubby tried to help with housework
That's a Miele from Germany. Very quiet and rolls on the carpet easily. We just got one and when the wife let me try it, I didn't to give it back! Honest.

As a great cartoonist once explained,
"The less you appear able to do, the less you will actually have to do!" Dollars to doughnuts, she went ahead vacuumed the rug....... |

Re: Hubby tried to help with housework
BTW. Strong agreement on that Miele mention! Quiet, great dust filter, easy to handle... Stole one of my wife's (she's got 2!)... It's a fine little vacuum for the Cabriolet, or for any Model A at all. And, to be honest, the one she, 'Let me borrow' back in July is currently still hidden in the rumble seat... John Baldwin

Re: Hubby tried to help with housework
Got a robot vacuum. Push the button and let it go - just have to empty it once in a while.
