Default 1929 Tudor Visor installation

On my Tudor, I see a threaded hole in the 'door post' for the top, side screw to go in. But for the bottom, side screw all I see in the post is a 'D' shaped hole.... Can anyone tell me what goes in the hole, if anything? Both sides of the car are the same. Possibly for factory rear-view mirrors?

Thanks

The holes are probably missing the D-nut.
