600w transmission oil needed. I use half STP and half 600w oil from suppliers.

I would leave plug out and let drain for a couple of days before refilling with new oil.

Remove the old gear oil only to put garbage back in there; great idea.

x2 Especially with the dipper tray. I've seen videos of people using a quart of kerosene to flush their perfectly fine running engine... it made me cringe.

Ford did say use kerosene but if we feel sick should we consult a medical text book from the 1930s?
