Default Let's see your bobbles.

I know they're illegal in some states but would be interested to see what interesting things anyone hangs from their rear view mirror.

Here's my Cessna 195 that first went into production the year Old Henry was made - 1947 - along with the infamous "Spruce Goose" that also made it's one and only flight that year.

Let's see yours.

Funny you should mention the plane in the videos. It doesn't bug me at all while driving but it sure did watching the video. I hope I remember to take it down for any future videos.

PS. Glad you didn't show us yours.

Here is mine I know its kinda corny but the story is the fun part.....
her name is suzie spice, she is more translucent red air freshener kinda looks orange in picture..
the story goes like this my dad who passed away in july owned the 51 I always loved going to the shows with him in the car and when he passed It was part of my inheritance..
we all used to joke about how cheap my dad was it was kinda a family joke he has been known to have a car with six different plug wires on it but as he would say "It works" one day we were at a swapmeet and my dad found an entire case of these things and just had to have them ... after bartering with the guy and about three different trips back he finally ended up with his prize lol... he brought these home and put them in everything he owned... my mom absolutely loathed them she would take them off and throw them away.. low and behold another one would end up right back in the original spot... it was a family battle for many years and like I said he bought a case like 1000-1500 of them..... so when me and my brothers were going through the shop after he passed we found the remaining 6 or so of these left so naturally I had to hang one from the mirror of the 51 and im hoping to have many years of enjoyment watching suzie swing in the breeze and it will be a constant reminder of my father...

No bobbles now but, when I was in High School, I had a large Budweiser can (if you can call that a bobble ) with the top cut out, suspended from the rear view mirror in my '48 TuDor Sedan. Whenever any of the guys got in the car, they emptied the change from their pockets and put it in the can for gas/beer money.

I don't have a rearview but I do have stuff hanging off my window crank. A couple of Bull Durham bags with memories in them. Little things from the past, hunting trips and and other adventures. Oh, there is an original "Hopalong Casidy" pocket knife in there too. The wire is my jumper when electrics go south.

On my 39 is a Rabbit foot which I have no idea where it came from. I am tired of shoveling snow. Wish it would stop.

I remember when it was `stylish' to have your girlfriend's neck scarf hanging on the mirror. Anyone remember the neck scarves of the mid '50's?
