Default Lincoln and Mercury wheel bolt pattern

I'm looking for 2 15 x 6 wheels for my Ford 8" rear axle. I see some for a '76 Lincoln Mark IV but the bolt pattern and backspacing aren't listed. Can someone tell me if the Lincoln in those years had the Ford 4.5" bolt circle? If you know the backspacing it would be icing on the cake.
Thanks
Gene

I had a set from a 82 Mark 6 that fit just fine on my 55 Crown. Never measured the back spacing but visually they looked like the set the same as the stock wheels. These were the aluminum wire wheel look wheels.

More of an aftermarket site selling “hoops”. But some stock specs seem to appear.

OEM tires: 235/75-15 (733x235mm). Bolt pattern: 5x127 (5x5). Offset: -10 to 10 mm. Tires up to 753x255mm. Rims up to 23x9.5".

Don’t know if this helps, but it came up as the “stock” rim. From this site.

Yes, it helps. The 5 on 5" bolt pattern rules this wheel out.
Thanks for the help.

A quick way to measure the bolt circle diameter of a 5 lug pattern...

I'm pretty sure all the '49 thru '59 Ford cars had a 4-1/2" wheel bolt pattern. The original wheels for '49 thru '56 were 15" x 5". In '57 whey went to 14" wheels but bolt pattern stayed same.
Mercury, however had a larger bolt pattern than Ford during the fifties.
If attempting to change to a wider tire and wheel, I would strongly suggest making sure there is enough clearance between back of tire and wheeltub and rear leaf springs, etc, and check to see that outer sidewall of tire will not rub against outer portion of wheeltub. May also be extremely difficult to install or remove tire/wheel assembly on car due to the low fenderwell outlet in the rear. Most likely will be necessary to remove nut from bottom of shock absorbers and jack back of car up to the ceiling to get the tires on.

Just FWIW. When I’m fitting wheels and tires I use this tool. If it’s a one time thing you can make one out of stiff cardboard, plywood, bent coat hangers, whatever. Let’s you measure what will clear at rest, and make a pretty good guess when bottoming out, turning, etc.

The previous owner put 255/60 Diamond Back tires on 8" wide wheels on the back of my '55. What a waste! While they look great sitting still, they scrub on the inside of the wheel wells at inappropriate times. Using the backspacing/frontspacing of this combination I pretty well can determine what will work. Also, the 8" rear necessitates the center hole be larger than the original '55 wheel. I can buy aftermarket wheels but would rather have good Ford OEM wheels from the '70s/'80s.

I am running P215/75R15's in the rear on my '55. The outside diameter of these is a tiny bit smaller than the OEM 710X15's. I selected them specifically for this so that I wouldn't have erroneous speedometer readings and need to change to a different speedo driven gear. The 215's are probably real close to the 670X15's which were also used on many of the '55's. I checked my speedo against a DOT speed indicator and it is spot on. The 215's don't rub up against anything either. Only problem with the 215's is, you gotta jack the back up to the ceiling to change the tires.
