Default French block

Hey guys, Im getting ready to build a French block for a guy, and was wanting to make sure I have him getting the right oil pan for it.
I believe its gonna take the 59A style pan and oil pump pickup tube ?
Thanks …
If this is correct and anyone reading this has one for sale , let me know..

Don't have one for sale, but you want 59A type oil pan, starter and flywheel. I can't say which oil pump and pickup you need, but whatever is compatible with the 59A pan. There is a rider to this, you must weld up or otherwise seal up the vent at the front of the pan and make sure there is a path for oil to return from that area to the pan. I use the French pump and modify the pickup to work with the 59A pan.

Mart.

Thanks Mart
I think I used a stock 49 to 53 oil pump on the last one I built, its been a while , but had to use the 59A pan style pump pickup tube ..

Ditto on Mart.... Put mine together and hadn’t weld the oil breather shut. Knew right away I had a problem. I ground a small amount of the block where the oil vent meets the block and welded the pan shut!

If you need oil pan and block mods for the French block, send me a private message with your email ..... I have done it after Ol Ron and I figured out why at the York Nsra show many years ago ....

A rear sump and pan will clear the straight axle.
