Thank you Herb, they go for the same price here so no point bringing one to USA !!! I have tried to contact Rich but no luck yet . I need to know how much of the input shaft needs to be retained as it is in the trans right now so it looks like I will have to take the trans apart to get the full length out .

John in dark Suffolk County England .

Regarding my Rich Little Overdrive, which I really like, I have one question. Rich provides a short speedometer extension cable to hook up to the standard Model A cable. It comes with the Laycock connector on one end and nothing but a stub on the other end. I have tried locally to find a supplier that can add the connector to mate up with the Model A speedometer cable, but no dice.
Does anyone know of a supplier that makes speedometer cables that might be able to complete the extension cable?
The pictures show the cable with the Volvo connector and the stub. The connec tor I am looking for is the one on the right, which is an extension cable from the Borg Warner that i replaced.

Am I correct on this. I guess this is strictly and overdrive and does nothing for synchro if it is using the standard trans.

I really was looking for synch and od, but don't want to pay 4k for Mitchell.

Doug,
Search for a LOCAL Speedo shop, especially one that does TRUCK Speedos/Tachometers. They can make up a connector for you. Call a TRUCK repair shop, to see who they use.

I'd go with the Ford F150 tranny like Carl used.

No

Yes

No

Be prepared to wait a long time for a unit. Supply and demand are out of phase IIRC.
