29 Closed Cab Pickup Window Seals

Does a 28/29 Closed Cab Pickup use any type of rubber seal to stop water from running down the door windows and into the doors? If so, what is it and where can I buy it? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the help. One of the posts shows a rubber seal on the bottom metal channel. After looking at it, I think it is there just to keep water out of the metal channel. It does not look like it would stop water from running by the glass and into the door. Also, I couldn't find a Model A parts source that sold that seal.

Since 28/29 closed cab doors are the same as 26/27 T coupes, I did find glass setting rubber that has a sealing lip at Langs. They also sell the metal channel for a lot less than the ones being sold by most Model A parts sources.

If I remember correctly the seal you see in that photo is the same as the rubber that surrounds and seals the windshield. The glass setting material will keep water from getting into the channel if it is tight as it should be, the extra seal is not for that. As far as I know this is the only model with that channel and extra lip seal, and maybe some of the panel trucks that used the same doors.

I believe that the window seals on Model A's were more designed for keeping out the breeze and not so much keeping out the water. You'll find drain holes in the bottoms of the doors to deal with the water.

The bottom channels with the extra lip for the seal are being reproduced for the 28-29 pickups, I've been told they're a good quality but haven't seen one in person.
