Default Champion 3X Spark Plug Drawing Recreated

I am creating a new web page for the Champion 3X Spark Plug. It is not up and running yet but I thought I would share one of the graphics I created. Feel free to down load the .pdf and share with friends and club members.
Just like all reproductions there are flaws in it. I circled what I could not read in the original drawing. Let me know if you know what it says and I will edit my work and repost.

Down load a printable version. http://modelabasics.com/3xPlug/recreation11-14-27.pdf

Hi Paul,

It looks to me like #4 should read "Drawn by M.I.N." and #2 As best I can see is " 1/8 (plus sign) ooo over (minus sign) .015, and #1 might read " To Fit HWN -32 gauge 03f Thread" I found your drawing on the rocky mountain model a club site, and was able to enlarge it. However you can only get it so big before it distorts. Hope this helps!

Your drawings are a works of art in themselves. Do intend to point out the difference between 29-29 plugs and 30-31 plugs?

If you work on the label color and the lettering alignment it will better represent production era plugs. The color is the most important as most folks don't know anything but replacements which have RED!

Yes, and I plan on including the 429's for the daily drivers. My current hold up is I do not have a 30-31 plug to take measurements against. The middle plug is just an educated guess.

I am using Inventor 2013, it has a glitch with its knurling. I became so frustrated I reverted back to 2012 for this project.

Very nice work !

As for original spellings, mis-spellings or abbreviations, I would simply add a footnote indicating that "all spellings are as found on the original drawing."

When quoting texts from other sources, when an oddly-spelled word is encountered in the source material, the editor will usually leave it, but add the Latin word sic (meaning "thus") in brackets afterwards [sic] indicating that the spelling is that of the original author or speaker ( if a direct quote ).

This would be done in the interest of preserving historical context or tone of a statement or passage.

Great Work !

Thanks, I took your suggestion. I am concerned on giving further credit. This picture has been floating all over the web. Do you have any further suggestion?

Good idea. I did not notice Toledo was spelled wrong on the original. People will think 30ccpickup did the misspelling otherwise

The side firing electrodes reminded me, a friend ran old ice cream trucks, low speed running caused plugs to foul BADLY! He bent the ground electrode alongside the main electrode and FOULING was almost totally eliminated!!
Once I ground off the ground electrodes on a Datsun 510 & drove it 2 weeks, RAN BEAUTIFUL!! Why I did it???------I don't know????? Bill W.
