Question paint

Anyone have advice on the black for fenders and splash aprons? I have the color codes for the body paint in Concept, but what should I replace the black dipped enamel with. I didn't have a clue there were so many different "blacks". Thanks ahead for any advice.

Basicly there seems to be two blacks used most of the time. One has white in it and the other has blue. I had it bookmarked with the old fordbarn but that is gone for now. If I remember PPG has a stock black and a black that has to be mixed. Get the one that has to be mixed (the one that has the blue). I want to say 9300 is the one to get.

If factory pack is what you are after, then DCC9300 is probably the prettiest Black however DCC9700 is probably more authentic (as it is "muddier" due to a 'brown-ish' tint), and DCC9000 is about the Black-est since it is straight Black toner.

Something to note about Concept is that PPG is phasing it out and is already unavailable in some areas. Ask your PPG jobber about Essential out of their DelFleet line as the replacement.

Glad to see you made it Brent. I read in the other posts you were on a trip. Sounds like you had good company. Rod

Thanks Brent
I've already ordered the Concept colors but I needed the black numbers.

I have information on the different primers, wash, epoxy, sandable, to use with the concept line. What is needed for the DelFleet line?
