Default Oil leak frustration

Referring to the attachment.
How can oil be leaking in the spot in the attachment that I highlighted in red?
The inspection plate is butted up against one side of that cork gasket and the oil pan pinches the other side.

This is about the only thing that frustrates me about my car.

Thanks
Leo

Take the cover with the 3 bolts off and look at the rear main bearing cap to see if it's leaking behind the cover.

Also, it appears there is oil on the bolt heads at the end of the pan rails. They might be leaking from the threads as the holes go through in that location. It might be a good idea to take them out and put some sealant on the threads.

An easy one to check is the oil return pipe. It can leak and drip from many different places.

When you step on the clutch, does the front pulley move forward a little?

The correct cork gasket? The 28-9 and 30-31 main caps had different size gasket grooves and the gasket kits have the 2 differenct sizes. May have put in the wrong one. They will both touch the gasket grooves, but the correct larger one will be tight. Do not have the measurements on the different grooves but I am sure someone has them.

Update.
I snugged up the valve cover and oil return bolts, used some permatext on a few pan bolts. Same leak.
I removed the inspection plate and noticed two things that I highlighted in the latest attachment.
1. The driver side bearing cap nut had some oil on it (red circle) and the passenger side nut was clean.
2. There was a slow steady stream of oil on the bottom of the bearing cap (red line) when the engine was idling, running from the back to the front. I imagine this is the oil that is leaching its way beyond the inspection plate.

I forgot to mention that I have a pressurized system.
What next?

Thanks
Leo

What next? If it's only a minor drip, I'd just get some cat litter to soak it up and learn to love it. All Model As drip oil. If it ain't leaking, it means you're outta oil!

You might add a PCV system to keep a small negative pressure in the crankcase. May help, may not.

Pressure is a hole new game. Many places to leak from. rear main seal, around the main bearing bolts, the two bolts by the camshaft that are in the flywheel housing. plus more
