Default Toe in procedure.

Hello! Long time listener, first time caller.......

Can someone explain toe in, and what should be done to the model a, and how, to be appropriate?

Thank you in advance! Gene

Welcome to the club.

Here is a short, short version. Toe-in is where the front wheels 'fight each other' as they are just slightly angled in towards the center of the car.

That being said, what needs to be done to your car? A great resource is Les Andrews first book-red I think. It will give you a step by step breakdown.

Your local tire/alignment shop can do the job if the front end parts are in good condition.

I believe that the correct toe in is 1/16" plus or minus 1/32"

If you don't have time to do it right the 1st time, how do you have time to do it the 2nd time?

Brent Terry posted about toe plates a while back. I think he uses something like this.

A weak or sagging front spring will cause front end shimmy . If the back tires are under inflated , it will also cause front end shimmy . I run my tires at 35 pounds pressure .
