Default Fender skirt

Dug these fender skirts out from my son in laws storage shed. They are marked 49-50 Mercury but not sure. I was wondering if any one might be able to identify for sure if they are or not. The bottom is flat instead of the flare that I have seen on most skirts. Thanks

Yes they look like '49-'50 Mercury.
The only question is if they are true factory skirts or aftermarket.
The '51 Mercury skirts have flares at the bottom and are the most coveted.
They will all fit the 3 model years.

Thanks 51 Merc, I have no idea if they are factory or aftermarket or the way to tell. I appreciate your input.

Generally the way to tell is by viewing the back side of the skirt, there are differences in the way the attaching mechanism is fabricated.
But it really is not that important unless someone is a purist and just has to have factory original.
