MSD announced the merging of Mallory w/ MSD. Hope this works well for the Mallory brand.
When I worked for Dana, they bought Mallory from Mr. Gasket. The Mallory plant Dana inherited in Reno was a mess along with quality.
The distributor housings that failed QC were in the hundreds.
To Dana's credit, they turned things around. A few years later
Dana had problems in 2000, they unloaded Mallory, and later went
bankrupt.

Good move; I hope the quality at Mr. Gasket, Mallory, and the others improves to the level of MSD. I've had issues with some of those brands.

I have had problems with MSD and they are not without their own bankruptcy issues. So, what is a person to do?? America ain't what she was in the past.

AND THEY ALL ARE USING OFF SHORE ( NICE WAY TO SAY IT) PARTS AND ASSEMBLYS........SOME ARE PRETTY PITTIFUL QUALITY!!

I have to wonder how effective MSD management will be running the Hays, Lakewood, and Mr Gasket lines. What do they know about clutches??

So which offshore company is making MSD 8BA style distributor replicas ? The two bodies and caps are not interchangeable?
