Parts Value ??
Gentlemen: I am just about finished with my restoration. I have some original parts that I replaced, available for sale. Problem is: I'm so far out of the loop that I haven't any idea of what they are bringing in the market.
Would some of you share your judgement and knowledge, so i can ask a fair price to the buyer and for me? I have 5 very good, straight and no bent spokes 19 inch wire wheels which were sand blasted and painted by the previous owner along with tires & tubes which are good for only moving around the garage or shop. I value your judgement. Thank You in advance. Thom IV |

Very nice roadster! You did a very nice job. About the wheels and tires, unless you need the money, or don't have the space, you should just put them away and save them. You never know if you change your mind and want to take those 16's off. Or maybe the next owner will want them, or you could use them on you next project.

Agreed, nice straight original wheels are hard to find. Bent wobbly ones on the other hand.......

Re: Parts Value ??
Thom,
Was that driver's side front wheel formerly red? If that's the one you got from me, it is interesting to point out that it was originally on a car from eastern Iowa that was sold/shipped to a guy in Virginia. I bought the rolling chassis and hauled it back to Illinois. One 16" wheel made it "home" to you! |

Re: Parts Value ??
I am torn on this as I had 4 19 inch model a wheels for sale and could not for the life off me sell them, I finally took 20.00 for all 4 and they guy was hesitant to do that. The original wheels that came on my 29 just ended up going down in the basement.
