Default 39 oil pump pick-up tube

I have 3 issues with an oil pickup tube I bought from Mac's.
1> the pickup tube is painted (chipped in several places) and it doesn't make sense to me to have a painted part inside the engine (should I strip it?)
2> The pickup tube that extends inside the cup is recessed into the cup about 1/2 inch verse my original pump that had the tube extended to level with the cup rim.
3> When mounted to the pump body, the pickup cup is angled about 1/4 in front to back.

No matter what the oil pan baffle has to be reworked

see pictures.
