Default 1951 f1 on Velocity

Anyone catch 'Wheeler Dealer' on Velocity channel?
They did a mechanical upgrade on the F1 that included installing an automatic tranny. Anyone know which tranny was used?
Looks like a replay 11:00am eastern today and other dates.

I just caught a fast glance of "metric" stamped on the bottom pan. Some expert here should identify it from the size and shape, but not me.

I cringed when I saw Edd running a tap through the block holes for the head studs.
I thought that was a no-no.
But then he used ARP studs anyway, so I guess its okay.

If you want to start a big conversation war, just mention using standard taps on head stud holes.
If you want to clean out the holes and use modern studs like ARP, SAE standard or home made, just do it.
We build racing engines that run 100% nitro and have never had a stud pull out.

Like Pete said ARP all the way I use them on my flathead 8BA block blown on gas toping 186 MPH heads stay in place using quality studs. The trans looked like an AOD
