Default need a wiper repair kit

Hello to all of you! Ive got the wiper motor blues. Tried the MM oil remedy which may have helped a bit but i think i need a motor overhaul. Can't seem to find a complete kit for rebuilding the 52 vic wiper motor. I did a search on the Barn site but most of the threads were several years old. Do any of you have some thoughts or suggestions where i might be able to get a complete repair kit?

I've never seen a repair kit offered by any source. Certainly, there are a few rebuilders around - including wiper man who runs hot and cold with others. Perhaps we'll both be pleasantly surprised to learn something new with this thread. Fingers crossed.

Seems like I remember several threads on the HAMB on reworking wipers. Here is a little bit from the Barn:

A fella on e bay sells kits and wiper motors n such. Ronmonte
Ask questions to make sure the kit applies to what u need. It has been said on here in the past some things may be advertised incorrectly.
I personally have never had an issue.

Sorry but the stock vacuum wipers are marginal at best - leave what you have now alone and use RainX. Water just flows off the windshield when standing or moving. I have been in hard driving rainstorms and it works great. Even daily drivers stop and wait but I just keep on rolling. Hell - my avatar doesn’t even have wipers!

Try it - you will not use your old vacuum wipers ever again.

Thank you for all your suggestions. TomT, the rainx sounds like a simple fix? Now if I can just keep my hands out of my toolbox?

Wipe it in and leave it alone is what I do. Use the straight RainX and not the spray that is also a glass cleaner - lasts longer. Motorcyclists use this on their helmet shields, planes use it, and it works on glass, lexan, clear plastic, side curtains. Clean surfaces first with Windex ...... not a temporary fix but a solution to your problem. Both my avatar and my newly finished 32 5-window coupe as well as my old 40 Standard coupe used it.

RainX also makes the bugs come off easier when cleaning the windshield.

RainX is fine for rain, but if it is a heavy fog accumulating on your windshield, u need wipers.
