Re: 1932 bb
According to the book I have, there were 2 ratios available for the 3/4 floating rear. 3.54 and 4.33. This is similar to my 33 that is powered by a 4 cyl. You mash the pedal to the floor and wait. In low gear it would probably pull a house down. If you can find a 3.54, it might help.
My 34 has the full floating rear and has the ratios 5.14 and 6.6 available. I switched the rear axle from a 6.6 to 5.14. |

Re: 1932 bb
I don't claim much knowledge on the BB trucks but I do know that Henry Ford had a modest relationship with Brown Lipe Chapin in the early years and BLC set up more than a few Ford trucks with 2-speed browny boxes. Some were foot shift and some were lever shift depending on year and model.

Re: 1932 bb
Mitchell makes a brand new overdrive that may fit the BB. The there is a guy in Ohio that installs Borg Warner and possibly Volvo overdrives.

Re: 1932 bb
The 5.14 ratio was available in the original 3/4 floating 1932BB axle. With 6.50 20 rear tires I'm guessing, but it feels like it is geared similar to a Model A passenger vehicle. Some may have a 7/36 tag on them.
