Fuel is leaking out of the carburetor bowl somewhere. You can add an electric fuel pump to prim it, but you really need to find where the fuel is leaking. One suggestion is to remove the carb from the car and set it up somewhere (where fuel vapors are safe!) and fill the float bowl up and let it set and see if you can tell where it is leaking.

Sounds like your carb is draining overnight. Maybe the power valve is leaking. Take the top section of the carb off and fill the bowl with gas. If it is empty in the morning you need a new power valve. Call charlieNY and he will set you straight.
