Default VanPelt Sales website changes

Just a short note for everyone. Some of you have noticed some visual format changes to our website that have occurred over the past week. We are incorporating our new logo into the webpages, and our homepage has a new look too. All the parts drawings and technical information are still there, but you access them now thru the links toolbar. It's still a work in progress, but the majority of the pages have been updated. Naturally, if you find that a link isn't working, feel free to let us know. The homepage as always:

www.vanpeltsales.com

Thanks for your patience as we get it all updated......Mac VanPelt

Well, Mrs VP did help me with a couple snags I had on some links, but I have to take the blame for the "new" version. She has her hands full building our store website. You will see that grow over the next weeks.

Web site was EXTREMELY valuable to me, both before I decided to rebuild my trans and after.
Thank you for posting all that good info!

OK- So what's the transmission shown on the home page?? Don't look like no flathead trans to me.

Pete...that trans pictured on the homepage is a T86 overdrive from mid to late 50's Fords. Technically it could be used with any of the 49-53 flathead V8's since it uses the same input shaft and front bolt pattern. We plan to rotate different trans pics in that spot, and this is simply the first one I chose.

This web project is taking mucho time due to the overall number of webpages in the site. Many evenings and a fair amount of weekend time (when no games are on the TV).

We're sure to appreciate any attempts at improvement and bear with you if there's any glitches. Your site is the best thing on the web, right after the Ford Barn, of course. Thanks for all your efforts in making such a huge body of info and parts available so easily, and especially your patience on the phone.

p.s. Didn't mean to brown nose to bad earlier...I just know I've looked at the site nearly everyday, usually twice a day, researching old Ford construction for fun lately! And its sixty degrees in the driveway today!

Looks nice and modern, Mac.

I can't find a tab or link for the serial numbers page though.. I needed to look one up last night. Did I miss it??

Nice work by the way.

Mart.

Are you still interested in hosting the information on block identification from this thread? If so, I will put together an updated write up with all the information added by the folks here on the Ford Barn and email it to you.
