Is the Model A cooling system pressurized?
I just got a 31 Tudor and am wondering if the cooling system is pressurized?

Welcome to the barn and like Purdy says, the cooling system is not pressurised. There are lots of differences between modern cars and cars from this era. It's a fascinating and enjoyable ride as you learn about and drive these cars.

In stock form, no, not pressurized.
If you take into account ~85 years of change and engineering, it very well could be. Mine is, J

Re: Is the Model A cooling system pressurized?
It is not pressurized, as has been stated above. However, the radiator cap should seal. The coolant overflow tube in the top of the radiator, then down the side, is where the coolant should pee out if it is overfull or overheats. FYI, the radiator will not stay full. Add coolant to nearly full then drive for a while. The radiator will find its own level, coolant typically will be just below baffle, but should always stay above the radiator tubes. Typically 50/50 antifreeze is used. If radiator cap leaks put a new seal in it, available from all the parts houses, of more or less quality.

Cool. I have a Model T & it’s not pressurized either. I just wasn’t sure about the A.
