Last month I finally pulled the trigger on redoing the full leather interior on my 53' Merc Convertible. The interior guy ordered the hides and wanted all to come from the same dye lot (yellow). He placed the order from his normal supplier, Dani Leather USA, in New York City (hides are died and come from Arzignano, Italy). He was notified that the order had been shipped. Last Friday the order arrived. They sent him black and maroon, rather than the ordered black and yellow. He made calls to get the maroon returned and the yellow shipped. Then, understandably, governor Cuomo shut down New York for the safety of the citizens, due to the virus.

This will be just another story, about the car. Not much of an issue, since all of the shows and cruses have been shut down anyway.

Like I said, just another old car story.

I would rather sell mine and let someone else wear it out.
