Default Rear Main seal

I am rebuilding a 1936 LB engine and the rear main seal is different on the cap than what the book says. The one in the block fits perfect, but the cap is different. It is the right cap, and fits perfect to the crank. I have enclosed a couple of pictures that might show you what my problem is. Any advice would be welcome.
