Default LH Thread

Looking for a source for 6-32x3/8" screw or threaded rod/nut with left-hand thread. I've had an armature for a horn faced, drilled and tapped. Now to get the wafer disc back.. I'm stuck.!
Anybody have metal lathe skills.?

You can buy a left hand thread and die and make your own parts.
MSC lists the following:
OSG 6-32 left hand tap 01559053 $8.56
Vermont Tap & Die 6-32 left hand die 33163312 $10.85
Both are quality tools not Chinese crap
MSC shipping charges are reasonable.

Have you tried McMaster-Carr. They have left-handed fasteners.

MSC or McMaster Carr are great places.
Most large cities will have a Machinist Supply and they will have the items you want also.
Any Machinist with a Lathe can cut left handed threads but the Hourly rate will make it not wanted. Most are at least $100.00 minimum.

I'd try Fastenal first. Even if they have to order it, it will be cheaper.

Consider using standard threads for the repair. It will work.

far as I know, all the horns except s/w use r/h threads and they work just fine. you are not the first to strip the l/h threads on a s/w.

Does it need to be LHT? If not, how about drilling it out and rethreading to 8-32?

I drilled & tapped a SW armature with 8-32 and used JB Weld to lock it. All other thread lockers came loose with ratchet vibration. If I have to remove I'll just heat the screw head a bit to break down the JB Weld but not enough to hurt the armature windings.
