Default Hey You Carburetor "fixit" guys!!

I'm still trying to research the source of the Brass Venture that I've seen in Maryland and now have heard of down in Aussie Country.

Who made this unique part, where, when, and why???
I've had to destroy a number of the pot metal ventures trying to rebuild/restore a Zenith. This Brass venture sure does hold my curiosity.
Yeah, I know, "curiosity killed the cat", but it has also lead me to some wonderful findings.
Any ideas, I'd sure to like to hear from anyone that knows abut the Brass Venture or has even seen one.

I have a brass venturi in my early '28 Phaeton. Until I bought the car 10 years ago it had spent all it's life in Australia (they were shipped there from Canada in basic CKD form and also incorporated some local components. which may or may not be relevant??)

I have often thought about making a venturi and my choice of material would be brass.

Thanks for this "key" reference to Australia as the possible source. This is the second such report.
I'm sure interested in discovering the source (who, when, where, etc), the reason for this special piece, and maybe even how many were made.
Again, thanks.

I got a brass venturi in a core last month ...

I did not notice anything unique about the castings.

This is first one i have seen in 55 years ...

I just thought that someone did not have one and made one on a lathe, until you mentioned it.

Will look closer at it for any markings.

No numbers or codes found 10-22-17...

I've looked at two of the brass venturi's I have and can not see any manufactures marks of any description. Only thing that comes to mind is I THINK they were out of early carburettors without the screw in secondary well but can't be certain. Sorry not much help. They would have been delivered from Canada already assembled on an engine most likely. Dave
