Re: 1956 Ford Spectra Premium gas tank sender DOES NOT WORK
1956's were one-year-only and were problematic. My 56 F100 has a 1957-60 truck sending unit in tank, a 1957-58 Ford car gauge in which I simply changed the facing on the gauge to the original 56 and gauge regulator #B9MZ-10804 in between. Did same for temperature gauge, been doing it for years, works like a charm.

Re: 1956 Ford Spectra Premium gas tank sender DOES NOT WORK
Thanks. That was an option that I decided against before I bought the aftermarket sender. The cost of a tank sender adapter, a new Ford voltage drop regulator, and a nos 57 sender exceeded the cost of the aftermarket sender. I was looking for new components. In hind site, I would buy the new guage/sender combo sold by the catalogue guys.
