Default A Rare Crown Popout Cylinder?

Somone has posted an ad on Ebay to sell a rare Crown pop out cylinder. Now I have seen everything! The pop out cylinder is a reproduction cylinder manufactured in the 1980's and 90's with a 5 on the front representing the key number. The Crown key is an original Model A Ford door key jammed in the cylinder and represented as rare and original pair. This item can be yours for an opening bid of $145. As usual, buyer beware!

Thanks for the heads up Dick. Some of us aren’t as familiar with some of our cars systems as others so it’s nice to get a buyer beware like this.

I'll take this opportunity to put in a good word for Dick. I bought one of his switches last year. I told him the mfg date and asked if he had a correct switch. He did, and I bought it for a very fair price. It was restored and correct, unlike a lot of switches that are advertised as such. My car isn't show quality, but Dick's switch sure is.

If you want the right switch for your car done correctly, Dick is a good source.

There's one thing about ebay, if the seller doesn't know what they have, then it's rare-NOS-model A.

I never new that a Crown key would fit this aftermarket lock and it will.

Crown never supplied keys for popouts as they do not fit the original ones.

Picture shows the key that originaly comes with aftermarket cylinder

Send a message to the seller , then if they do not change the discription Report it! This is how you will get all the misleading crap off Ebay. Even report shipping cost.

Honest mistake or pressured to do so?

If we could exert that kind of pressure, I think DREW_MAGOO would have adjusted his business model (LOL)

Looks like the seller dropped his price based on the feedback that was provided, even though there was no real perssure a few emails could exert on them.
